EMPOWER – Empowering People with Disabilities through Effective Disaster Management Project(2020-1-TR01-KA204-094078), implemented by the European Union and Foreign Affairs Office on behalf of the Governorship of Istanbul, is supported by the European Commission through the Turkish National Agency under the Erasmus+ Programme Strategic Partnerships in the field of Adult Education. The EMPOWER Project, of which the Governorship of Istanbul is the coordinator, will be realized between 31.12.2020 – 30.04.2023.
The main objective of the EMPOWER project is to contribute to increasing the awareness and competencies of individuals with disabilities who are highly vulnerable in disasters and their caregivers on disaster management.
Local Partners Project Management Meeting was held on November 3, 2020 with the participation of all local partner institutions hosted by the European Union and Foreign Affairs Office on behalf of the Governorship of Istanbul. During the meeting, the project was reviewed and the activities and preparations for the kick-off meeting were planned.
