“EMPOWER – Empowering People with Disabilities through Effective Disaster Management Project (2020-1-TR01-KA204-094078), supported by the European Commission through Turkish National Agency under Erasmus+ Programme Adult Education and Training field, has been implemented under the coordination of Governorship of Istanbul. EMPOWER project will be implemented between 31.12.2020 and 30.04.2023.
The main aim of EMPOWER Project is to contribute to raising the awareness and improving competences of caregivers and people with disabilities, who are highly vulnerable in disasters, on disaster management.
The first online meeting of EMPOWER project was held with the attendance of all partner institutions hosted by Governorship of Istanbul on 26th November 2020. During the meeting, the partners had the chance to get to know each other and the project activities were reviewed.
Due to Covid-19 pandemic, the project kick-off meeting is planned to be organized online on 2nd March 2021 between 12.00-16.00.
